Practical POC-based Palmprint Identification Using Sparse Modeling of Phase Templates

Abstract

This paper proposes a cost-efficient palmprint identification method using convolutional sparse coding of phase information. The proposed method can reduce the computational time of POC for palmprint identification without sacrificing performance. Through experiments of palmprint identification using public databases, we demonstrate effectiveness of the proposed method compared with conventional methods.
