A Study on Graphics Segmentation Method for Dementia Evaluation Systems Using Graphics Drawing Test

Abstract

Recently, elderly persons with dementia h ave been increasing, and it would be one of the severe social problems in Japan. In the field of geriatrics, it is usually said that detecting dementia in the early stage is very important. The authors have been discussing method s to evaluate a patient’s dementia using clock drawings and simple graphics. This paper discusses a method to extract sides from given graphics for features extraction.
