Abstract
In the 4K/8K satellite broadcasting, MPEG-H MPEG media transport is adopted as an internet-protocol-based multiplexing scheme, which enhances the applicability of hybrid content delivery using both broadcast and broadband. The utilization of hybrid content delivery is an important requirement also in the development of next-generation terrestrial broadcasting. This is especially true for mobile reception because receiving condition changes constantly by user’s mobility and receiving terminals are highly personalized. In this paper, we implement and evaluate a mechanism of seamless video compensation via cellular network to maintain user experience.
