Improving response characteristics of metal salt precipitation optical device for continuously variable neutral density filters

Abstract

We have developed an optical device with improved response characteristics as an optical filter for television cameras capable of step-free local adjustment. It incorporates two-layer lamination and uses a pulsed standby voltage, to reduce the response time to one-fourth that of existing elements.
