Effective Approach of Evaluation for Short-term Memory with Eye Tracking

Abstract

In this paper, we proposed the visual evaluation of series position effect for the ability of short - term memory. Our method displays colored five patches in the 10 degrees field of view, and participant memorizes the color name in a sequential order. As the result of experiment for short - term memory , compatible trend is obtained as same as verbal test with series position effect. Moreover, the explicit difference exists that the ability of short - term memory in 50’s participant is degraded compared with 20’s participant.
