In this study, we observed the differences in eye movement characteristics of subjects during visual scanning of a given scenes and during a mental visualization of the same scenes. Remote and head-mounted eye trackers were used to investigate spatial scanning and smooth-pursuit eye movement of the mental image, respectively.
