Seam Carving Using Color Saliency Map

Abstract

We describe a method for reducing an image by seam carving using a color saliency map in which higher values are assigned to the pixels with the object's colors. Our experimental results show that the proposed method can preserve the salient regions in the reduced images better than the conventional methods.
