Color Reproduction by Beam-Indexing Color Picture Tube

Abstract

Color purity performance of the single beam color picture tube with a beam indexing system is investigated.
It mainly depends on bias beam current, beam spot size and beam driving waveform.
The relationship between color purity and color saturation for the single beam color picture tube in introduced and some requirements for the correct color reproduction are derived.
Advantages of the rectangular wave driving system in color saturation are discussed.
