Abstract
A novel tiny color television camera has been experimentally developed for consumer use employing one-chip MOS imager with a color filter array. Considering imager's cost and camera size, we have newly developed a 2/3 inch MOS imager and a small size 4×zoom lens with TTL view finder.
We have succeeded to design a novel circuits for reducing clock noise and fixed pattern noise that limited the sensitivity of the MOS imager camera.
This paper describes the color camera system configuration, color imager, zoom lens and the noise analysis of our imaging system. Today our camera's sensitivity has been limited by the random noise similarly to pick up tube cameras.
