Abstract
Realization of electronic circuits that can function like the visual faculty of living beings is required for the exploitation of intelligence-machines. This demand is responded in the present paper by proposing a fundamental electronic model of retina making use of both temporal and spatial frequency characteristics of vision. The model is constituted so as to manifest the characteristics of adaptation and contrast effects. The method of circuit design for the case of given specific characteristics is stated.
