A Ghost Canceller Using a CCD Transversal Filter

Abstract

The optimization of a ghost canceller using a transversal filter is discussed and the development of an LSI'ed transversal filter is described. A prototype ghost canceller has been constructed using this CCD-LSI.
The result of the field test with the prototype system, where an improvement of more than one rank in the five-rank subjective evaluation is obtained, reveals its practical usefulness.
