Abstract
The pyramidal absorber consisting of loss dielectric and magnetic materials is designed to obtain an absorber with good reflective characteristics at both the normal and oblique incidences in the UHF band and above. The absorber thickness is very thin, i.e., 135cm, and is obtained under conditions where VSWRs are equal to or less than 1.1 at frequencies of 95 MHz (normal incidence), 373MHz (TE waves) and 344 MHz (TM waves) and above, and at an up to 70 degree angle of incidence. This absorber is useful for the side walls of the long and narrow type anechoic chamber.
