Abstract
It is very difficult to get the stereoscopic effect at both sides of a screen from a pair of stereo images in a small field of view. This is because at these sides, a part of an object seen by the right eye cannot be seen by the left one, and vice versa. We propose a method, called stereo clipping, for confining the displayed object within the view range of both eyes. Stereo clipping is acheved using a Cohen-Sutherland, Sutherland-Hodgman, or other algorithm. Visual tests verify that stereo clipping has a visual effect.
