Abstract
The proposed system consists of a semi-spherical reflector, set on the ceiling of a room, and a pair of dual circularly polarized antennas for transmission and reception of communication. The system has a simple construction because the relay station, using a semi-spherical reflector, has no electronic devices, and needs no electric power supply. The paper describes the principle of the system and gives examples of the link design. The scattering characteristics of the semi-spherial reflector are investigated by using the physical optics method, and the results are confirmed by experiment. Finally transmission tests of a PN code are demonstrated by using the proposed antenna system.
