Abstract
A new electronic high-speed camera is developed by combining three image sensors. The sensor was developed for the high-speed video camera of 4,500 pps in 1991. The following convenient functions are introduced by the improvement : (1) a monochrome video camera of triple frame rate by delayed synchronization of one-third of the original frame rate, (2) a color video camera by attachment of R, G and B filters and perfect synchronization, (3) an ultra-high-speed triple-framing camera of the frame rate 50,000,000 pps by delayed synchronization of gating of the image intensifiers, etc. Other innovative technologies are presented, such as an ISIS (In-situ Storage Image Sensor), a combined video camera, and an image sensor with video trigger.
