Abstract
With the wide spread of personal computer, more and more visual information is being fully digitized. Under such a trend, the status of hardcopy which has been long recognized as the most human-friendly medium seems, at least partly, ruined. On the other hand, the visual pschology as well as the viewing behaviour of hardcopy observers is being made clearer through the comparison with the behaviour towards other media. The paper deals with specific human behaviour in hardcopy viewing, and then discusses the future of communication media technologies.
