Abstract
In order to improve the performance of a 40-inch DC PDP (Plasma Display Panel) for a hang-on-a-wall HDTV/Hi-Vision receiver, new panel fablication technologies has been developed. The introduction of photo process was useful for precise patterning which is necessary for stable memory operation. The new process makes it possible to produce a smaller cell pitch of 0.48mm (H) ×0.5mm (V) (1920×1035 cells). Hi-Vision pictures could be reproduced on the new 40-inch DC PDP with a luminance of 150cd/m^2.
