Abstract
A 2/3 inch 1.3M pixel progressive scan interline transfer CCD (IT-CCD) image sensor has been developed for video and digital still cameras. A square pixel of 6.7 μm×6.7μm and active pixels of 1308 (H) ×1032 (V) are adopted. This sensor can be operated up to 30 frame/s with progressive scan at 49 MHz operation in horizontal CCD (H-CCD). An 8-phase driving in vertical CCD (V-CCD) enables a variety of operation, such as a 1050 line progressive scan, a 1049 line interlaced scan and a 525 line interlaced scan.
