Abstract

We have been proposed a new design of an x-ray framing camera (XFC) for time-resolved two-dimensional observation of implosion dynamics of inertial confinement fusion targets, which is called on electromagnetic defrection type XFC. In this design, an air-gap microstripline with an x-ray photocathode a the upper electrode is utilized. Photoelectrons between the upper and lower electrodes of the stripline are defrected by the electromagnetic field by the applied high voltage short pulse and temporally controlled. Analyzing the phtoelectron trajectry in the air gap of the stripline. We have designed a prototype with the spatial resolusion of 1μm and temporal resolusion of 10 ps, which has been just assembled.
