Review of SID'97

Abstract

SID Symposium held in May, 1997,in Boston is reviewed. The number of papers was 249 and the number of attendance was 1650. These numbers are increasing year by year. Exhibition was also held and was well attended as much as 6000. In the Symposium, new devices, system and concepts on high performance displays, large screen displays, image processing, human factor, applied vision, multimedia virtual reality, etc. were presented. In the exhibition, the latest display, related materials and measurement equipments were demonstrated.
