Abstract
A compact digital camera, which is able to record motion pictures and still pictures in MPEG1 and JPEG compression/decompression format respectively, has been developed. In the camera system, conventional interface scan type CCD with complementary color filters, suitable for capturing both motion and still picture, is used. Signal processing method for improving color resolution, and exposure control method for using iris as a mechanical shutter are studied.
