Abstract
This report describes a new transmission method of low-bit-rate data, which is useful for managing the optical video-routing network in a broadcast station. The data is modulated and multiplexed in low-frequency region of an HDTV signal band. We discussed the influence of HDTV signal on the performance of the data transmission. This method is effective when the HDTV signal is re-scrambled. The optical modulation index of the data should be 4.0% in order to achieve 10^<-4> of bit-error rate.
