Abstract
An arbitrary manipulation of atoms will be a promising technique in the field of lithography and surface science. Here we introduce the "Atom Holography" technique which enables us to manipulate atoms in arbitrary positions and intensity distribution, using the wave-like behavior of atoms. This also enables us to manipulate atoms in mass instead of manipulating each single atoms. A large enough diffraction angle can be obtained using the micro-fabricated-structures that are used in the recent X-ray optics, since laser-cooled atoms have long enough deBroglie wavelength, such as sub-micrometer.
