Abstract
An x-ray imaging system(i.e., imager) was developed to observe formation of hot, dense plasma created by intense laser. The imager consists of a two dimensionally bent Bragg crystal (Ge(311)) and an x-ray CCD camera to provide a monochromatic x-ray image of 3.67 keV with a 20 eV window. Spatial resolution better than 9 mm was confirmed for a view field of 500 mm. A new imager, for use in hydrodynamic instability measurements with 1.48 keV flash x-ray source, has been destined by using a ray trace code.
