Abstract

This is the summary of the symposium SID99. SID99 was held in San Jose USA from May 15 to May 21. Attendance of the symposium was over 6500 that was as same as last year. More than 400 booths were used for exhibit. The papers were presented in 3 days, and LCD, Plasma, CRT, El and others were discussed. Most of papers were for Display devices, but system, manufacturing and human factor were also discussed. This year we saw large size PDPs and increase of papers from Korea.
