Abstract

Ultra-high-resolution TFT-LCDs have been developed. These LCDs have resolution of 177 ppi for iso-A4 document viewers and a ultra high resolution of 211 ppi based on color filter on TFT(COT) technology. Image quality for these LCDs is equivalent for printed text and photographs. Their technologies and evaluation will be described in this paper.
