Abstract
We analyze the electromagnetic fields of the waves which are transmitted from one side of a building and reach the other side over its rooftop. We consider the influences of the rooftop obstacle on the propagation characteristics, and show that a conductor plate of suitable height erected on the building rooftop can suppress the attenuation of received electric field strength. The analysis employed in this paper is performed by Geometrical Theory of Diffraction(GTD or UTD). And we consider material such as concrete or earth and slope diffraction of the waves grazing along the building rooftop.
