Abstract
DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) is one of the ITS (Intelligent Transport System) standards that is being researched in order to make highway traffic safer and more comfortable for its users. In DSRC environments, the base stations located along the highways must have a very short range of operation(about 30 meters) in order to provide efficient frequency reuse. In tunnels, however, the walls produce many reflections, which externd the range of the base-stations and may cause interference among co-channel zones. In the present research, the zone structure of a DSRC environment in a rectangular tunnel is simulated and investigated.
