Development of high sensitive radio wave transmitting system using an optical modulator

Abstract

We developed high sensitive radio wave transmitting svstem using an optical modulator for Digital terrestrial TV broadcasting. The features of this newly developed system, does not require electrical power line at the receiving point and has merits of multi-carrier(OFDM signal) waves long distance transmission. Therefore, transmitting and receiving point are easily separated so that the system can be effectively used to construct SFN. In this paper, we mainly discuss the improvement of sensitivity of this radio wave transmitting system.
