Abstract
We have developed a 230ppi poly-Si TFT reflective LCD for mobile applications, which can display a full CIF(Common Intermediate Format) image and a large amount of character and graphic-information simultaneously. It has 360×480 pixels for the 2.6-inch display size. A new partial-display driving scheme achieves a low power consumption of 1.7mW at a frame frequency of 30Hz. The LCD will be suitable for next-generation mobile phones.
