Abstract
Terrestrial broadcasts are difficult to receive in areas where their broadcast waves are obstructed by high buildings. In these areas, we installed a gap filler (GF) station and examined reception characteristics when a digital broadcast signal was re-transmitted from the GF station at the same frequency as that of the main station. In the area where waves transmitted from the GF station could make a disturbance, a margin to the minimum receiving power was reduced. By pointing the receive antenna in the direction of the GF station, the margin was improved in these areas.
