Abstract
The image sensor for detecting modulated light is proposed. The pixel has two floating diffusion regions to store charges. By operating the circuit synchronously to the blink of modulated light and subtracting two outputs, we can obtain signals only by modulated light. In this paper, we show the experimental results of the image sensor with 64 × 64 pixels. We demonstrate that this image sensor can capture the image only by modulated light under any static background light. The problems caused by the parasitic n^+ diffusion layer and diffusion carriers are improved.
