Abstract

The "iBrowser" technology is the key to swift and smooth browsing of satellite images and other jumbo visuals on normal personal computers. The "News Reporting System" (NRS) of this technology developed by FujiTelevision Network, Inc. for television program application has been in use since April 2001 to introduce newspaper articles on the live news show "Mezamashi TV" ("Wake up TV"). Powered by the combination of the "iBrowser" and large-size touch screen, NRS1 is major evolution from the conventional approach of shooting actual objects with TV camera. The System enables interactive operation by newscasters themselves, and continues to earn high marks from program producers and directors as a versatile new means of expression.
