Abstract
Recently, many kinds of audio coding methods are proposed, and many of them designed to choose the frequency bandwidth and the bit-rate. When the bit-rate is given, we must carefully choose the frequency bandwidth by considering the feelings of coding distortion and frequency bandwidth because they have the relationship of trade-off. In this paper, we propose method of choosing the most suitable frequency bandwidth to encode audio samples when the bit-rate is given by using subjective quality assessment and objective quality assessment.
