Abstract
Noise was added to digital prints to improve gradation and texture of subject. Changing level of noise, type of images, and area, where noise is given, samples were made and subjectively evaluated. Under some conditions addition of noise resulted in increase of scores. It was not achieved to estimate optimum noise level for a picture from the Mahalanobis-distance, but it realized to distinguish pictures which are improved from ones which become worse by adding noise.
