Abstract
In our laboratory, the research on the digital road map creation is carried out. In creation of a digital road map, the image information and the information acquired from DGPS and three-axis gyroscope are used, the final accuracy is greatly dependent on the accuracy of DGPS in present state and accuracy becomes bad by various factors, such as the cover. Until now, the correction was carried out in such case.However, the accuracy is dependent on the three-axial gyroscope, and the shape unlike the road shape might be shown, when the error accumulated. Then, the technique using the polynominal approximation is proposed in order to get taking the shape as a result which is similar to the road shape.
