Abstract
Wide-Dynamic-Range imaging is one of the important functions for in-vehicle image processing system to reduce the influence of the rapid brightness change. And high-speed movement detection is also requested to detect vehicles and persons for the support of safe driving. We propose a smart image sensor equipped with two functions. One is a function of Wide-Dynamic-Range imaging using variable integration time, and another is a function of movement direction detecting in sub-frame rate of 1000fps. This paper describes about the processing scheme of the proposed method and the designed prototype chip based on the method.
