Abstract
This paper proposes a new optical frequency stabilization technique for L-band laser diodes with modulated side-band light. The second sideband light generated by phase-modulation is locked on a ^<12>C^<16>O Gas absorption line; the original carrier is placed on ITU-T frequency grid. An Allan variance of 10^<-8> was achieved for a period of 7 hours. The optical carrier seeds phase-locked 33-carriers in the L-band by the phase modulation technique.
