Abstract
Small catalyst particles are observed in carbon nanotubes (CNTs) synthesized by plasma enhanced CVD (PECVD) technique. In this work, structures and magnetic properties of CNT thin films prepared by PECVD techniques were investigated. The FeCNT film showed a shape magnetic anisotropy originated from the nano-particle observed in the CNTs. The length of CNTs decreased with increasing the Co content owing to a difference of C solubility limit between Fe and Co. The magnetization of FeCoCNT films increased with increasing the thickness of catalyst layers.
