Abstract
We are researching and developing a real-time make-up simulator that helps accelerate and optimize selection for cosmetics buyers. Our task was to improve the speed and smoothness of the simulator. For this, our report focuses on foundation. Virtual foundation is applied to a still image of the user resulting in a mask image which is then extracted and passed through a blur filter and then blended with the original. Using Spiral Labeling when extracting the mask image allows the Closing process to take place within the boundaries of the relevant facial area resulting in a speeding up of the imaging process.
