Abstract
In this paper, a high-speed liquid lens, called Dynamorph Lens (DML), which has high-speed response speed and high resolution, is explained. A prototype of the DML achieved a step-response time of 2ms and a wave-front error of 80.3nm (RMS). A concept of high-speed focusing vision that is a high-speed vision coupled with high-speed optical system without speed bottle-neck, is explained. A high-speed autofocus and a focus tracking were successfully conducted using a preliminary developed system. Finally, a concept of dynamic image control is explained and demonstrated by a microorganism tracking microscope system and a high frame-rate focus stacking experiment.
