We have developed a wireless Hi-Vision TV (HDTV) camera, called the "Millimeter-wave Mobile Camera", which can transmit HDTV pictures with high-capacity and low delay. The link system for the camera uses millimeter-wave band (42GHz-band and 55Ghz-band) and diversity reception techniques including MIMO-OFDM transmission with the aim of high-capacity transmission and high link reliability. This paper describe the feature of the wireless HDTV camera system for outdoor and indoor environment and examples of employing the wireless HDTV camera in live TV program productions.
