Abstract
When an overhead power transmission line is close to a Medium-Wave broadcasting antenna, facilities such as lattice steel towers, power lines, and ground wires, affect radiation characteristics of the antenna. In this paper, we investigate the influence of the power line facilities on the input impedance of an MW antenna. We consider a simplified model of a power line that consists of a thin conducting wire representing each tower with the tops of the towers joined by a ground wire and make a simulation for the simplified computer model using "Numerical Electromagnetics Code" (NEC). As a result, we estimate power line facilities which has a large influence on the input impedance of an MW antenna.
