Abstract
Broadcasting stations have been distributing and exchanging program contents mainly in a Stream (SDI) signal format. Considering the recent move toward the File-based broad- casting system supported by the advancement of Information Technology, we concluded that it would contribute to an overall cost reduction and efficient operation in a long range perspective to make our new Circuit Control Center system handle Streams and Files in a unified manner. The critical challenge in realizing the concept is to acquire the technology to make Streams and Files compatible under the condition that Files would never give adverse impact on Streams, which is inevitable and mandatory for broadcasting applications. We have successfully built an epoch-making, ever unreported, new Circuit Control Center leveraging the innovative Information Technology.
