Abstract

In our research, we developed a system which enables people to experience past scene impressively. This system is assumed to be used at a place where past traces exist. Firstly, it estimates a camera position of a past photo or an animation. Secondly, it connects present image captured by web camera with past images naturally at the estimated place. The system estimates a camera position by using 3 points in order to do it at a place with a past trace. We showed the accuracy of the estimation by simulations and experiments. Next, we made sure that the connections between present and past images were done seamlessly. Finally, experiments with some subjects showed that this system express past situation effectively.
