A generation method of integral 3D image by oblique projection

Abstract

We propose a method for generating an integral image of a three-dimensional (3D) object such as CG objects based on the principle of integral photography. In the proposed method, the oblique projection is applied to a virtual camera to capture the rays in a mass from the 3D object without geometric deformation. Thus a captured image of the virtual camera can be directly applied to a filter processing for suppressing aliasing due to sampling effects of the lens-array.
