In this paper I present an algorithm to implement real-time 3D mesh generation in hardware. It specializes for a 3D capturing system based on the light section method. By constructing a 3D scanning system with integrated mesh generation, I was able to come up with a much more efficient way of reconstructing the surface from a point cloud. Also because the system can capture 3D in real-time, I will use the range map sequence to balance speed and precision.
