Abstract
Visual psychological effects and characteristics of visual perception for stereoscopic images are briefly described in the relationship between stereoscopic images and the human visual system. As for visual psychological effects, effects from image distortion in the depth direction are described, and the presence quantified using vection are explained. Next, visual comfort and visual fatigue caused from viewing stereoscopic images are described. The visual comfort is explained at the point of the tolerance of image quality, and the visual fatigue is described with relationship between the function of eye-movement and accommodation.
