Abstract
A ultra-micro chip with almost the same size as neuron cells can stimulate neuron cells and measure their activities in very low invasiveness. Such actions can be interpreted as a communication with living cells and a semiconductor chip, which opens a new door for a bio-abio interface system. We propose a μ-communicator (μ-COM) for such an interface chip and describe the fundamental measurement system for neural activities as well as demonstrating a preliminary experiment of intra-communication inside a mouse brain.
