Proposal of Hybridcast system : Toward the new broadcasting system in the fusing broadcasting and communications era

Abstract

NHK is developing an advanced broadcasting platform "Hybridcast," which combines broadcasting and a broadband communications network together to provide services that are more convenient and enjoyable for viewers. This paper describes a target architecture of the Hybridcast system and a prototyping of its basic functions.
